Service and Maintenance
At Origen, we invest a lot of time and energy into our Service & Maintenance Division in order to service, maintain and repair other manufacturers’ sliding gates, vehicle barriers, road blockers, rising bollards and turnstiles, as well as our own.
Service means providing our customers with a tailored maintenance programme to ensure optimum product performance, whilst ensuring that legislative obligations are met. In the event of equipment malfunction, service means a fast and efficient call-out and repair process.
Why Preventative Maintenance?
No matter how well equipment has been designed, manufactured, installed and commissioned, the possibility for failure cannot be ignored.
Programmed preventative maintenance can extend product life, reduce the likelihood of down-time and keep your premises and staff safe and secure. Such a programme also may permit the equipment to be updated in line with the latest technological advances and standards.
What Services are Offered?
Origen offers a range of services which may be tailored to meet your exact requirements.
There are 3 recommended types of yearly service contracts, we are also able to tailor a specific contract to suit your individual requirements:
- Essential Response Service - With this contract we are able to respond to your call outs as and when you require us to be on site - This service is offered as an ‘essential response service’ and we will attend site to fix your problem at our standard call-out rate plus hours worked on site plus necessary parts.
- Programmed Preventative Maintenance - We will attend site twice a year to carry out routine service and maintenance to ensure that your equipment is in optimum running order. For customers with a maintenance contract we are able to respond to call-outs as a priority. Call outs are charged at our standard call out rate, which with this service also include the first hour onsite. Additional hours and parts are charged accordingly and you will always be given a cost for parts before we carry out the works. This contract is our clients preferred choice.
- All Inclusive Service Contract - We will attend site twice a year to carry out routine service and maintenance to ensure that your equipment is in optimum running order. For customers with this maintenance contract we are able to respond to call-outs as a priority. All call outs and associated hours are included as are all necessary parts.

As well as holding essential spares for our own equipment, we maintain a detailed database and understanding of other manufacturer’s equipment, which enable us to provide a first rate service.
Origen understands the importance of providing a responsive and communicative helpdesk, which is the key to be able to deliver the quality service required by our customers.
Origen’s service engineers offer a fast and effective response, supporting both Origen’s own and other manufacturers’ products. We also ensure quick delivery of spare parts.
